HUH?

Well it has been a while again, yes I have been slack.

I have so many things to talk about, hmm, first bitching.

I hate people who, when driving on the freeway, think that one space, is going to make a difference.

I hate people who come to a dead stop on an empty roundabout and who stop at the left hand give way signs when the lights for their lane are green.

I hate shops that don’t have eftpos.

I hate internet scams.

I hate illegal immigrants that come in on boats and then burn down the facilities we provide for them whilst they get processed taking all the spots from those trying to do it legally.

Ok enough of that then. Feel free to reply to those either way, or add new ones, Facebook or Twitter.

I have posted a couple of flash signs on my fat loss reviews page from the Reviews tab above.

I know the signs are bright but the products are sound and they work well together, give it a go.

Now the weather patterns haven’t improved around the world, Earth quakes are still happening in NZ and Japan, is there going to be a lull or is it going to be on going to a crescendo of worldwide devastation ?

Economics haven’t improved of late, jobs in construction are still difficult to win, with so many companies competing for every little job. We are at the end of the “economic stimulus package,” and the abundance of Government jobs have been or are being, completed. So what now ???

Fuel we were told should come down by, “up to 5c per liter over the next week or two,” yet it has gone back up three cents this week.

The war on drugs is costing us more and more with illegal labs popping up every where keeping our forces stretched. Why don’t we just legalize them, register the users and supply them from chemists, this will end the black market, guarantees the users with consistent, chemist made, regulated drugs or regulated grown drugs, creates new jobs and businesses all under regulation same as alcohol. Just look at America’s history with prohibition all that achieved was creating some of the worst Mafia’s and crime Syndicates in history and they still thrive today through drugs and the fact that they are illegal. Do we ever learn ???

On a brighter note, I have recently discovered, “HEX Bugs”, http://hexbug.com/nano, to have a look. Great for kids presents and big kids too. Get a beginners environment and an extra bug or two, they can be rather mind numbing.

The best movie to date, “THE GREEN HORNET”, without a doubt the most entertaining movie I have seen for years, I pissed myself with laughter.

Keeping it real,

Osama is dead…..

Osama

At last they have killed him, I am sorry we didn’t get to see his dead body for personal confirmation.

There are too many conspiracy stories, to just believe.

Who says that his death, by American’s, isn’t a fraud to help boost the failing American economy.

This news if true, is great news, but the war on terror continues and what does all this mean to us?

Does the American $ get stronger now the threat of Osama is over ?

Do oil prices return to a sensible price ?

Can our boys come home from battle ?

Can we relax again at the airports of the world ?

The answer of course is NO.

The fact is we are paying the price of living because of Sept 11 2001, this will not change, it may well stabilise, but prices will not go down. Oil is and has been a dwindling resource for some time now, the price has been set in cement to go up, right till only the richest, can drive a car or we find a new method of propulsion. Horse prices could be set to soar, hows your riding skills, Ha ha.

Our boys will never come home. They will just rotate until we own the oil, this is the most important thing. Lives are meaningless, wars are imagined, ideas are crushed and all for oil and the power with the money it generates to control the masses.

Heightened security at our borders has turned up so much more contraband than ever before they will never be lightened and who’s to say another Bin Laden doesn’t come along anyway.

The bottom line is things are just the same.

There will be no changes for us, our prices will continue to go up and income barely go up, cars will still be made and sold with the dream of everlasting oil with better consumption and we will still be fed bullshit.

If Osama is dead, that is a shame, captured would have been preferred, the stories he could have told would have been interesting, especially his time with and purpose for the CIA, here’s to hoping he wrote a book. But at the same time it is good to know he is not plotting against us, if he ever was. America says he is dead so we will believe.

Osama is dead…

Is this the end ?????

Here we are mid March in Perth and still coping 30+ heat. Extreme weather all over our globe, NZ and Japan destroyed by Earth quakes, Nuclear disaster looming, predictions of more quakes, will California be next as they are on the same plate? Will a big quake in California set Yellowstone National Park off ? It is said if that active super volcano erupts we will enter a new ice age from the ash it will send into the atmosphere. Is this the start of the end of our world as we know it ?

We seem to be on the edge of a new world, one we are just starting to feel. I think Mother Nature is just waking and she is pissed. We still don’t stop drilling, mining and sucking the life blood from our Planet. How many more warnings will she give us before it is too late. It can’t be us and if it is money is still so much more important than our future survival on Earth, the sadness I feel for our insatiable greed is more than one person should bear. I hope more people are out there that can see what is happening.

We need to do something to stop the whirlwind we are already in if it isn’t too late and if it is what can we do to survive ? What plans are in place to take us through the disasters we are just starting to experience ? 2012 is starting to be a real threat, will it happen ? It certainly is starting to look like it is in full effect.

Worried about our future,

Too much heat!!!!!!

It has become overbearing and impossible to live in, the heat wave we have experienced over the last four weeks.

I can’t work, I can’t play golf, I can’t even ride my chopper it is just too hot, sticky and uncomfortable.

We are living in a nice house on the west coast in Mullaloo, this house hasn’t had a chance to cool down in over a month and consequently we are suffering. Yes we have air-con, but it can’t match the heat that it opposes, only one room is cooled by it, so our family has now moved into this one cool room in the house, you can just imagine the state of this room.

We have at least another week of this heat to face, it has broken the record book for consecutive days and temps already with more to come. You can’t tell me that global warming is a myth we are living the results now and it has only just started, according to the predictions.

Is 2012 a reality or is it another failed prediction, I am leaning towards reality, as we experience one natural disaster after another along with extreme weather patterns.

Is this the beginning of the end????

I hope not, but what do you expect from a planet we have pillaged and raped without care or remorse. I hope we haven’t damaged our world beyond safe repair. I hope that good sense will over-ride greed and personal gain, as these things will have no bearing in the days to come, lets not let it get there, we can do more individually we can make a difference, as a movement we can change the world.

Hoping we can work together,

Completely had enough….

Completely had enough of paying ridiculous prices for things such as mobiles, computers and the like that when compared with US prices are more than half the cost.

Why can I buy an Iphone4, for US$400, but here in Aussie it costs me Au$998, why?????

I can get full golf club sets, sent over from the US for 1/3rd of the price on offer here, we are dollar for dollar with America why are we still paying the same price for things they pay half for. Something has to change.

I could easily accept the price difference when our Aussie dollar was worth US$0.65c, which has been the way for so long. Shouldn’t it make sense that our prices should fall to match the rest of the western world. I mean come on, everything is made in China these days, how can shipping to USA be cheaper than Aussie we would have to be half the distance.

So it comes down to being, ripped off. How much can an Aussie take? The classes used to be rich, middle, average and poor, now we have only very rich, struggling and poverty. This can’t go on, an income of Au$75k a year, is no longer a good wage, it is borderline welfare. Anywhere else in the world, it would be a fantastic income, but not here, particularly in Perth, a pint of beer costs $10 bucks these days.

I am not surprised that retail sales are at an all time low. Who would buy at retail outlets, not including groceries and petrol, we are trapped there, but not elsewhere. The internet is offering bargains we can’t refuse, I mean everything is half price, if not more. So what do you do???

Well I am spending on the internet, not good for our businesses but I can’t afford them, can you?

How can we as Australians help a country that is ripping us off.

Pissed, confused and bewildered,

Beaver…..

Bitching

I am sick of paying too much for a lesser product and service.

I am sure I am not the only person out there that is feeling the pinch, money is harder to make and quicker to lose.

Where does it all end??

Are we going to end up a divided nation, haves and have not? We can already see the lucky ones they stand out with their boats, sports cars and mansions.

But what about the rest of us who struggle to make ends meet, what is our future?

I don’t want for 50ft yacht or a Ferrari. I would like a big house, any house to be honest, the prices are just too high, a house worth $150k-$250k on moderate world markets is 3x the cost here in Australia, particularly in Perth, meaning if you don’t have family support or a great job, which in my experience, mostly comes from family support as well,  to get into your first house then you are stuffed, as I am.

A standard grocery shop costs on average $350 a week for two adults and two young boys. Electricity which has gone up by 40% in two years. Phone bills have gone up by 5%+. Fuel has gone up $0.20c in the last three weeks. Materials have gone up 10% in the last year. Everything has gone up except our income, if anything the margins are getting tighter.

What do we do??

I don’t know…..

Looking for answers and some relief from ever-increasing prices.

What a week !!!

It has been a trying last few days. The heat and humidity has been so intense that all natural will is lost.

I didn’t even play golf.

But this is nothing I shouldn’t complain and cry, at least I’m not in North Queensland right now.

My heart goes out to those waiting to be hit by one of the biggest cyclones, “Yasi”, that we have seen. Their bravery and will is admirable.

Lets hope that the damage is not as bad as predicted with no loss of life.

Queensland was my home for 8 years and I would go back in an instant, if I could, it is, “Gods Country.”

It doesn’t deserve this battering, after 14 years of drought they now face intense flooding from monsoons with cyclones for good measure.

Hold on, Hold on

Sick of paying so much for diesel.

Why are we paying so much for diesel when it takes more energy to make unleaded. Petrol is formed at nearly the top-level of refinement just under ethane and propane, its main component is naphtha. under that boiling point is the heavier carbon based diesel.

Check out the info below.

  1. How is diesel fuel made?
Crude oil that is pumped out of the ground is composed of thousands of different hydrocarbon compounds – compounds composed of carbon and hydrocarbon. The carbon atoms link together in chains of different lengths, shapes and sizes. Each individual chain length or molecular size has different properties including progressively higher boiling points, so they can be separated by boiling point or distillation.

Distillation is the first major process at an oil refinery. As the crude oil is heated, different hydrocarbon compounds are separated by their boiling temperatures. The lightest components such as ethane and propane come off the top of the distillation tower. The next components, called naphtha, are used for making gasoline.

The next heavier portion of crude oil coming from the distillation tower is used to make diesel fuel. Diesel fuel contains larger hydrocarbon molecules, with more carbon atoms than gasoline. Simple distillation does not produce enough gasoline and diesel fuel, so heavier fractions of crude oil are broken into smaller compounds by thermal or catalytic cracking, or hydrocracking, to produce higher volumes of gasoline and diesel fuel. To lower the level of sulphur in the fuel, some of these fractions may be hydrotreated – a refinery process that reacts a fraction of crude oil with hydrogen at high temperature and pressure, in the presence of a catalyst, to improve colour and odour, and reduce sulphur content. Various component streams are blended to meet the required diesel fuel specifications.

  2. What is the difference between diesel fuel and gasoline?
Diesel fuel differs from gasoline in several ways. Diesel fuel is heavier and “oilier” than gasoline. It evaporates much more slowly because it is composed of larger hydrocarbon molecules, which have higher boiling points, typically 150 °C to 370 °C.

This information was taken from Petro-Canada.

As you can clearly see the separation point of fuels higher than diesel are more expensive to produce. So why do we pay more for diesel which back in the 80′s was sold to us cheaper than petrol and we told would always be that way, what happened?

I would love to know, if there is a reason that I am not aware of, please comment on page or contact me on beaver@wondawall.com .

Trying to keep my tank full,

What Boom?

It has been said that we are heading into another growth boom here in WA. Leading up to Xmas it was almost believable, work everywhere and promises of more to come after the break. Third week in and it isn’t looking so bright. A look in the papers at tenders will show that we are still looking at Gov. funded jobs, with only one or two small private ones. It still looks the same as all of last year if there is a boom coming where is it?

Are we being misled? Is it all just a cover up by the Gov. to try to get the economy into thinking it is better? With the way prices keep going up something has to give. It is getting too expensive to live and I do fairly well as a tradesman in the construction industry. What you get for your dollar is appalling, for instance I pay $500 a week rent and you would think for that you have a well maintained house, insulation, keys for the windows, their tacky window coverings and maybe air-conditioning that works properly.

In the agents defence he has paid me for work I have personally done and had done to keep the house livable and have a grassed play area for the kids. I hear you ask why did I move in? Well this was the best I could find for that sort of money per week, the standards are low. Buy a house, its out of the question unless I win lotto, or the banks take rent paid as a sign that, that could be a mortgage instead. How does one with a wife and two children to support save enough for a house loan without losing a standard of living, nothing extravagant just room to move and play with lawns. I mean we are in a 5 x 2 with two living areas, to buy a house on my income and in the coastal side of northern Perth, we are restricted to a 3 x 1 house and land package miles out.

So renting these run down and expensive homes that are in good areas is the way to go, for me. I can pick and choose at homes I can never afford to buy, better than owning a home we don’t fit in living in an area we don’t want be in. Bring on the boom, I’ll make more money and prices will continue to go up until we are forced to not pay tax or beg to pay the bills and try to save some money.

Scrounging for every $$$
