It makes the World go Around.

What an interesting week this has turned out to be. It all started with anger at my brilliant brother who has spent a heap of money on mastering his first track and it is good, but it isn’t getting heard. So in my state of anger crossed with disbelief and then anger at my disbelief, I  decided to do something for him, and put his song and a review about it, on my  web site, http://www.wondawall/music/unsigned.

I added a link through to his Myspace page and his spot on JJJ Unsigned, which we, as the public, can vote for these new artists, to get them air play on JJJ, I am really into music, and I had no idea about this at all, I just thought that you sent them in a demo and if they sent it back, no good.The majority of these artists, are doing their best in an industry that costs a fortune to be successful, as you could well imagine this can be hard if you don’t come from money or have financial support.

I was talking to my work partner Boxy 2 days ago, at work, telling him about what I was doing for my brother, Adrian Keys, when a labourer walks up to me and asks if I’m a musician. I am in the worst possible way, I have beautiful guitars and a great drum kit, neather of which, can I play well. I chose my path in life , passion took a back seat to income, my artistic nature was put to rest. Ten years later I tried to turn it back on and found I was wanting, much to my personal despair.

So Eddie (the labourer), I told him what I had been telling Boxy and he explained that he was in a band, Eddie & The Medicine Man, (eddie and the medicine man/unsigned/music/wondawall.com) and he gave me a demo disk. He told me that he liked what I was doing and would tell his friends. Two days later I have had enough feedback to make me think that I can do something to help.

My mission as it stands is to fill the gap between being unsigned and unknown to hopefully  getting airplay on JJJ, and if all goes well, a recording contract. Initially I am not charging anything at this point for membership, but for me to do a good job and build up a steady following I am going to need some support. Look at this point, I am not promising anything other than me doing my best to get these artists out there, who knows what I can do with your support.

Help me help them, they are our future.
